Jim's
picks: Best Value: Gary Fisher Mako This is the cheapest adult bike we sell, and it aint no slouch. This is just a nice standard bicycle with a good old steel fork that will last forever (with proper maintenence of course) It could be upgraded, or you could just put slick tires and a rack on it for a great town bike... or just ride it as is. Best Big Fun: Gary Fisher 293 This bike even looks awesome standing still. I love the way the 29" tires look... like the bike is just ready for bigger stuff than you can imagine. If you are going to pay big money for a dual suspension bike, you might as well get one that will intimidate your friends. Best all around: Breezer Uptown U frame: No it's not just a girls bike, and no I am not a sissy. All Breezer transportation bikes are built for use in the real world... for doing stuff like commuting to work, and running errands. They come equipped with essentials like a kickstand, rear rack, generator and front and rear lights. It is easy to add packs and baskets. Why is the U-frame cool? Because if you have taken the bike to the store and it is completely loaded up, it is a lot easier to step through the frame than to swing your leg over it. Also makes it easier to stop on an irregular surface and balance a loaded bike. If you are secure in your sexuality... this could be the bike for you check out the manufacturer links for more information. |
