It may seem crazy, because we make money fixing bicycles... but we also want you to get the most out of your own bikes, so we are offering classes to help you know more.

This spring we will be offering two types of classes:

1. Know Your Bike: This class will help new owners and returning riders know more about, and be less intimidated by their bicycles. Topics include pre-ride inspection and adjustment, flat tire fixing, and post-ride cleaning and lubrication. These classes are typically offered every other Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm. you are encouraged to bring your own bike.

2. Enhanced Park Tool School: Park Tool, the world's leading bicycle specialty tool manufacturer has developed a curriculum in basic bicycle mechanics. Our class is based on their outline and text with a few enhancements added by our staff.

The Park Tool Company announces the Park Tool School®, a unique program for learning bicycle maintenance and repair in a hands-on environment. The Park Tool School® is a bicycle repair class with curriculum designed by the Park Tool Company.

The Instructor's Manual

The Park Tool School® is taught by your local bicycle retailer, experts in repairing and maintaining bicycles. You will receive the Park Tool School® manual as part of the class providing you information on basic mechanical skills as well as detailed instructions for repairing and maintaining wheels, bearing assemblies, braking and shifting systems, etc.--everything you need to know to keep your bicycle rolling smoothly and safely. The material in the student manual acts as the outline for each session of the clinic, which is augmented by the hands-on demonstration of the instructor.

This class is usually taught over a period of four evenings, usually one day a week, but occasionally crammed together for an intense one week session. There is a  $40.00 fee per student to cover textbooks and materials. Enrollment is limited.

Call or stop by the shop to sign up for a class or to find out when the next one is being offered.
